Free yourself from the tyranny and opacity of xerox self-publishing! This Striped Light workshop familiarizes you with how to operate our Risograph machines while making a small edition of two-color posters or flyers.
Risograph is a digital duplicating system deceptively packaged to look like a xerox machine, creating multiples with a technology and look similar to screenprint. Beautifully interpreting both graphic and photographic imagery in a variety of colors, this machine is a unique tool for producing zines, handbills, posters, prints and more!
Using text and imagery, each participant in this class will design a 2-color composition (of their choosing) and create a small edition from it. Everyone leaves with a small stack, (20 to be exact), of their completed prints. We also highly encourage folks to trade work with each other. Ah, the beauty of the multiple!
No experience necessary and all materials are provided. If there is specific imagery and text you would like to work with for this workshop, bring it with you! We're working sans computers, sketchbooks, old magazines, photos and text on paper are superior resources.
