This Hands on Press workshop gets you familiarized with our Risograph machines through printing layers and experimenting with overlays and angles. A Risograph is a duplicating system deceptively packaged to look like a xerox machine, creating copies with a technology and look similar to screenprint.
Beautifully interpreting both graphic and photographic imagery in a variety of colors, this machine is a unique tool for building abstract printed compositions. Using text and image supplied both by you and the Striped Light archive, participants of this class will duplicate, deconstruct and reassemble content into compositions through layering, repetition and rotation. Everyone will create an edition of prints, allowing each person to leave with several copies of their own work as well as a portfolio with their classmates work.
Completing this class gets you certified to use our Riso machines during open shop hours every Thursday through Sunday. The cost of this workshop is $50.
