Knoxville Scene, Riso Zine

This Thursday evening workshop gets you familiarized with our Risograph machines in a flurry of collaboration and collage. A Risograph is a duplicating system deceptively packaged to look like xerox machine, creating copies with a technology and look similar to screenprint.

Using imagery supplied both by you and the Striped Light archive, participants of this class will duplicate, deconstruct and reassemble content into a zine associated with Knoxville culture both past and present. Photos, drawings, found scraps or objects, text...almost anything under the size of 8 1/2" by 14" can be a part of this project. The class will complete an edition of the zine, meaning all participants get several copies to take home at the end of the night. So bring a handful of interesting items and be ready Riso.

Completing this class gets you certified to use our Riso machines during open shop hours every Thursday through Sunday. The cost of this workshop is $50 with a max class size of 5. Head over to the classes page to register.
